Parliament Building
The Ständehaus, or Assembly House, is one of the most historically significant buildings in the area around the Cathedral and Castle. It was built at the end of the 19th century as a monumental construction incorporating a mixture of architectural styles, and was the seat of the Landtag or parliament of the Prussian province of Saxony. Today it is used as a conference and cultural centre, its outstanding furnishings providing an exclusive setting for any event.
