Cathedral Square
The south and west sides of Cathedral Square are flanked by Baroque curiae. With the Cathedral Fountain (from 1515) and the two-hundred-year-old plane trees, the square makes a charming picture. Heading from Cathedral Square towards the town centre, we come to a building known as the Curia Nova, which dates from the 17th century. The Willi Sitte Gallery of Realist Art was opened here in February 2006. Next to it is the Krummes Tor, the Crooked Gate. Floodlit in the evenings, it really does appear in a completely new light.
