Castle with Museum of cultural history

Merseburg Castle is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Central Germany. Every year in June, it hosts the Merseburg Castle Festival with its historical pageant. Inside the castle is the Merseburg Museum of Cultural History. This dates back a hundred years and has a range of exciting items from Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Baroque period on display.
